About This Role
We are partnering with a leading international consumer organisation undergoing a significant phase of operational evolution and regional transformation across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
This appointment represents a strategically critical leadership hire, responsible for shaping and embedding a future-ready operational model capable of supporting long-term regional growth, scalability, efficiency, and commercial agility across diverse and evolving markets.
Operating at Executive Committee level, the role will lead the transition and centralisation of key operational capabilities into Dubai, redefining how the organisation structures, governs, and executes operations across the region.
This is not a traditional supply chain leadership position. It is a broad operational transformation mandate focused on organisational design, operating model evolution, infrastructure optimisation, and cross-functional integration across complex international markets.
The Opportunity
The Director of Operational Transformation will be responsible for architecting and executing a large-scale operational transformation agenda across MEA & Asia.
The successful individual will act as a strategic partner to regional and global leadership, driving the redesign of operational frameworks, improving organisational capability, enhancing supply network effectiveness, and establishing scalable infrastructure aligned with the organisation’s long-term ambitions.
The role requires a leader capable of balancing strategic vision with operational execution, while operating effectively across both mature and emerging markets.
This individual will play a central role in influencing how the organisation evolves operationally over the coming years.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Operational Transformation
- Define and execute a regional operational transformation roadmap aligned with business growth objectives and long-term organisational priorities
- Lead the redesign and optimisation of the regional operating model across operational functions
- Drive the transition and centralisation of operational capabilities into Dubai, ensuring effective governance, scalability, and regional alignment
- Partner closely with Executive Committee stakeholders to shape strategic operational priorities and long-term capability development
- Evaluate current operational structures, identify inefficiencies, and implement future-focused solutions to enhance agility and performance
Operating Model & Infrastructure Development
- Design scalable operational frameworks capable of supporting multi-market growth across MEA & Asia
- Establish governance structures, decision-making frameworks, and operational standards across regional markets
- Develop integrated operational ecosystems connecting planning, logistics, procurement, distribution, customer operations, and commercial functions
- Support the evolution of regional hub structures, shared service capabilities, and centralised operational functions
- Lead organisational alignment initiatives to ensure operational structures support both regional and local market needs
Supply Chain, Logistics & Distribution Transformation
- Oversee the transformation and optimisation of regional supply chain and distribution networks
- Drive operational excellence initiatives across warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and fulfilment operations
- Evaluate and redesign logistics infrastructure and 3PL operating models to improve service levels, responsiveness, and cost efficiency
- Establish operational KPI frameworks to monitor service performance, operational efficiency, and network effectiveness
- Drive automation and digital enablement initiatives to improve operational visibility, planning capability, and execution consistency
Procurement, Partnerships & External Ecosystems
- Lead the development of strategic operational partnerships across logistics, distribution, manufacturing, and external service providers
- Oversee supplier and partner governance frameworks to ensure accountability, scalability, and performance delivery
- Support procurement transformation initiatives focused on cost optimisation, operational resilience, and strategic sourcing capability
- Negotiate and manage complex operational and commercial agreements with regional and global partners
Transformation Delivery & Change Leadership
- Lead complex, cross-functional transformation programmes across multiple geographies and stakeholder groups
- Drive adoption of new operational processes, technologies, governance models, and organisational structures
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Coach and develop regional operational leadership teams to strengthen organisational capability and succession planning
- Act as a visible transformation leader capable of influencing senior stakeholders across regional and global functions
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will bring significant experience leading operational transformation, operating model redesign, and regional operational leadership within complex multinational environments.
Candidates will typically come from leading FMCG, consumer goods, beauty, retail, or similarly sophisticated international organisations.
Experience & Background
- Proven experience leading large-scale operational transformation initiatives across international markets
- Strong operational leadership background spanning supply chain, logistics, procurement, planning, distribution, and operational governance
- Demonstrated experience designing or evolving regional operating models and organisational structures
- Experience leading regional hub centralisation, shared services transformation, or cross-border operational migration projects
- Strong understanding of operational infrastructure, supply network optimisation, and multi-market operational complexity
- Experience operating within matrix organisations and engaging with Executive Committee or Board-level stakeholders
- Strong commercial understanding with the ability to align operational strategy to broader business objectives
