Finance Manager (Luxury Fashion)

Overview

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis, and executive presentations.
• Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.

Financial Reporting & Controls

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
• Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Manage external and internal audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local tax, VAT, and regulatory requirements across the region.

Business Partnering

• Partner with Retail, Marketing, Operations, HR, and Supply Chain teams to drive business performance.
• Support store profitability analysis, retail KPIs, and investment evaluations.
• Provide financial guidance to department heads and senior management.
• Challenge assumptions and support informed commercial decision-making.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Monitor cash flow performance and liquidity requirements.
• Oversee inventory valuation and stock-related financial controls.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and working capital optimization initiatives.
• Ensure effective treasury management and banking relationships where applicable.

Team Leadership

• Support and develop finance team members through coaching and performance management.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive process enhancements and operational efficiencies within the finance function.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive finance experience, preferably within luxury retail, fashion, consumer goods, or premium brands.
• Strong understanding of retail finance, inventory accounting, and commercial business partnering.
• Experience working in a regional or multinational environment is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
