The General Manager (GM) of a holding company is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, financial performance, and strategic direction of the company’s subsidiaries.

This role involves managing business units, ensuring profitability, optimizing operational efficiency, and aligning company objectives with stakeholder expectations.

1. **Strategic Planning & Execution**

  • Develop and implement business strategies to ensure growth and profitability.
  • Align the vision, mission, and objectives of the holding company with subsidiary operations.
  • Identify new business opportunities, acquisitions, and investments.

  • Monitor and manage the performance of subsidiaries, ensuring operational excellence.

  • Maintain strong relationships with investors, board members, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Serve as a liaison between the holding company and subsidiary leadership teams.
  • Represent the company in negotiations, partnerships, and industry events.

  • Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Mentor and develop leadership within the holding company and subsidiaries.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and succession planning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in senior management, preferably within a diversified group or holding company.
  • Strong financial acumen, strategic planning skills, and operational expertise.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing multiple business units or subsidiaries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
