Handle daily accounting transactions, maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and support the Finance Manager with company financial operations.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- The qualifications section asks for 2–4 years of accounting experience; a separate experience line states 4 years of General Accountant experience is required.
- Must speak Arabic and be located in Dubai.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; Odoo experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.
Key responsibilities
- Record daily transactions in Odoo and maintain organized accounting records.
- Prepare and record supplier invoices, payment requests, customer receipts, and company expenses.
- Track supplier payment deadlines and update payment tracking sheets.
- Reconcile supplier accounts, customer balances, bank statements, and booking-related transactions.
- Ensure payments and expenses have supporting documents and are allocated to the correct booking or file.
- Monitor outstanding customer payments and supplier balances; record approved customer refunds and credit notes.
- Assist with monthly financial reports and account reconciliations; maintain financial documents.
- Coordinate with Operations, Sales, and Reservations to resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Assist with VAT documentation and audit requirements; follow accounting procedures, approval workflows, and confidentiality policies.
- Report accounting errors, missing documents, and payment discrepancies to the Finance Manager.
