Job purpose

Education and qualifications

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, facilities management, or a related field is preferable.
• FM-related professional certifications are preferable.
• Knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and responsibilities is required.

Experience and skills

• Requires 3–5 years of relevant facilities management experience, including installation, maintenance, and repair in large commercial premises.
• Requires CAFM experience and knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and policies.
• Requires experience with safe working practices, risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work systems, and water treatment management.
• Residential, commercial, or retail property experience is desirable.
• Requires very good knowledge of MS Office and project management software, team leadership, performance management, and staff development skills.
• Requires operational, commercial, and financial awareness of client project contracts; ability to translate client requirements into action plans; communication, relationship management, and reporting skills.

Roles and responsibilities

• Develop and implement building operation plans for assigned assets, working with the Property Manager on budgets and budget-compliant works.
• Inspect facilities and equipment; arrange alterations, maintenance, and reconditioning under operating procedures and service agreements.
• Work with procurement on non-engineering service contract bids; analyze bids, make recommendations, and prepare contract agreements.
• Approve facility supply and equipment purchases; prepare periodic inventories of premises contents and property condition.
• Review and improve facility services; maintain Aldar PMS and manage resources, manpower, and finances.
• Ensure preventive planned maintenance is followed and analyze call-center data to plan improvements.

Health, safety, and information security

• Follow company HSE policies, procedures, practices, and applicable legal and statutory requirements, and stay informed of updates.
• Follow information security policies, protect sensitive information and account credentials, keep firewall and antivirus enabled, and report security incidents.
