Role Description

The Finance Specialist is a part-time role based in Dubai with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site activities with some work-from-home flexibility.

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.

The Finance Specialist prepares, reviews, and reconciles financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities include supporting accounting entries, monitoring expenses and revenues, assisting with financial analysis for programs and initiatives, and providing clear financial updates to leadership.

The role also involves collaborating with program and administrative teams to align financial planning with the Society’s mission and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Finance and Accounting skills to manage daily financial operations and support sound fiscal management.
  • Candidates should possess experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support budgeting and decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present financial information clearly and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field are preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) and experience in nonprofit or healthcare-related organizations are beneficial.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment are important.
