Role Description
This is a part-time Quantity Surveyor role based in Dubai, structured as a hybrid position with a combination of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities.
The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for projects related to the society’s facilities, services, and initiatives, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
The role includes monitoring project costs, updating cost plans, and preparing regular cost reports to support budgeting and funding decisions.
The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and vendors to manage cost control measures, assess financial risks, and provide recommendations for efficient resource allocation.
The position also involves contributing to procurement evaluations and maintaining clear documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in cost planning and cost management to support budget development and financial decision-making.
- Candidates should possess cost control and cost reporting skills to track expenditures, manage variances, and produce clear financial summaries.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with BOQ preparation and review to ensure accurate quantities, descriptions, and pricing for project works.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using relevant quantity surveying and MS Office tools, with attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and stakeholder management skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Candidates should possess a recognized qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field; professional certification or membership in a relevant body is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess experience with healthcare, non-profit, or social sector projects as a plus, along with familiarity with UAE regulations and standards.
