Role Overview
The Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the firm in compliance with FSRA regulatory requirements.
This includes financial reporting, budgeting, capital adequacy, liquidity management, and supporting the compliance with FSRA prudential rules applicable to activities such as Private Financing Platform (PFP) operations, Arranging Deals, and Fund Management.
Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with IFRS and ADGM requirements.
- Prepare and submit all FSRA-mandated reports, including:
- PRU returns
• Annual Audited Financial Statements
- Capital Adequacy and Liquidity reports
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory audits and regulatory filings.
Capital Adequacy & Liquidity Monitoring
- Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with FSRA’s Prudential Rules (PRU), including:
• Risk Capital Requirement (RCR)
- Maintain real-time tracking of the firm’s liquid assets, capital buffer, and operational expenses.
Private Financing Platform (PFP) & Fund Oversight
- Maintain clear separation of client assets and firm assets in line with Client Asset Rules.
- Oversee financial flows related to PFP transactions, including issuer payments, investor settlements, and transaction fees.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Prepare the firm’s annual budget and perform regular variance analysis.
- Develop short- and long-term financial forecasts based on the strategic plan.
- Track cost efficiency and contribute to financial decision making on new product launches or business lines.
Internal Controls & Financial Governance
- Establish and maintain internal controls for financial integrity and fraud prevention.
- Ensure full compliance with ADGM commercial regulations, VAT, and corporate tax obligations.
- Support operational and risk audits and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in finance/accounting within regulated financial services.
- In-depth knowledge of FSRA rules, especially GEN, PRU, and COBS.
- Familiarity with PFP operations, fund structures, and investment advisory models.
- Professional qualification: ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent (preferred).
Key Skills
- Strong command of financial systems (e.g., Tally).
- Expertise in IFRS, financial modeling, and regulatory reporting.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain compliance under pressure.
Preferred
- Experience working in ADGM or DIFC with regulated entities.
- Understanding of SPV structures, fund accounting and investor settlements.
- Exposure to financial compliance under AML, VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax.
