Oversee technical operations and maintenance for assigned facilities and assets to support smooth operations.
Report technical issues, inspections, audits, due diligence, verification, staff evaluations, and recommended solutions to the Technical Manager.
Facilities operations and maintenance
- Manage appointed service providers and coordinate work planning, priorities, and planned maintenance schedules.
- Inspect planned and reactive maintenance delivery against contractual standards, schedules, and response times.
- Assist with planning maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Develop facility and asset inspection plans, technical work instructions, and service tool times.
- Inspect facilities and services, workmanship, and the quality of spares and consumables.
- Ensure specialist systems have service-provider coverage and coordinate monthly facility and asset reports.
- Ensure service activities are recorded in CAFM or other designated systems and assets have maintenance schedules and monitoring.
- Ensure statutory certificates are current and available.
- Coordinate equipment-failure rectification and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
- Evaluate service-provider staff, review training plans, monitor attendance and staffing, and manage allocation where required.
- Escalate provider non-conformance and performance issues to the Technical Manager.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Five years’ experience, preferably in facilities management, estate management, or construction oversight and delivery.
- Knowledge of MEP systems and familiarity with civil work.
- Prior experience using SAP and CAFM.
- Driving license and very good communication skills.
- Experience with schools, universities, government facilities, or malls is preferred.
- English and Arabic speakers are preferred.
