Executive - Ecommerce Merchandising & Operations
Role Overview

Role purpose
Own day-to-day commercial performance of allocated storefronts and grow online sales through performance analysis, on-site merchandising, product focus, placement, and campaign execution.
The role is an entry point into e-commerce trading and merchandising, with responsibility expanding toward weekly trading actions; it reports to the Ecommerce Operations Manager.
Trading performance
- Review daily storefront volume, conversion, and revenue against forecast and act on or recommend actions to protect and grow sales.
- Diagnose performance gaps by product and driver, including sessions, conversion, returns, average item value, and net sales.
- Report weekly on performance against forecast, product performance, digital availability, sell-through, and full-price sales mix.
- Research competitor activity, local market events, and seasonal demand to identify trading and campaign opportunities.
Merchandising and site execution
- Plan launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns for assigned storefronts in line with brand priorities and local demand.
- Optimize collection structure, product listing sequence, hero placement, navigation, and featured slots using performance and internal search behaviour.
- Maintain catalogue accuracy, product data, categorization, pricing, markdowns, taxonomy, naming conventions, and category hierarchies.
- Validate SKU and product data and execute product launches through product information and bulk upload tools.
Content, stock, and operations
- Coordinate product grids, banners, campaign storytelling, and creative briefs with marketing, omnichannel, and brand teams.
- Review, correct, and localize Arabic content; written Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Monitor stock availability, size breaks, and lost-sales risks; escalate constraints and coordinate cross-market stock transfers.
- Coordinate with Operations and Customer Service on order, fulfilment, and returns issues, and flag inventory discrepancies across systems.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor degree or equivalent; a Diploma or Certificate with a Business, Ecommerce, or Retail focus is also listed as essential.
- At least 3 years of site merchandising experience in an e-commerce, digital trading, retail merchandising, or buying environment, with exposure to online sales performance.
- Store merchandising, allocation, or buying candidates with strong commercial instinct and digital appetite will be considered.
- Written Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
