Estimation Engineer -Fitout
About This Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer with a strong Civil Engineering background and proven expertise in fit-out projects . The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity take-offs while supporting project teams with technical and commercial inputs. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for fit-out projects based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Develop and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and ensure accuracy in scope and pricing.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and tender documents.
- Analyze project specifications, materials, and labor requirements to determine cost implications.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to gather inputs for estimation.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations and provide comparative analysis.
- Support the tendering process, including bid preparation and submission .
- Maintain a database of cost benchmarks and historical project data.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in estimation, BOQ preparation, and quantity surveying .
- In-depth knowledge of fit-out projects (commercial, retail, or residential) .
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel (or relevant estimation software).
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present information clearly.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in estimation, specifically in fit-out projects .
- Prior experience working in contracting or fit-out companies is preferred.
