Dalkia UK seeks an experienced Engineering Services Manager to lead technical operations across its Imperial College London contract.
The hands-on leadership role supports supervisors and technicians across multiple sites.
The work supports safe, compliant and well-maintained university learning and research environments.
Key responsibilities
- Lead supervisors and technicians, supporting development through coaching, mentoring and continuous improvement.
- Oversee planned maintenance, reactive repairs and remedial works, including scheduling and statutory compliance.
- Handle technical escalations, conduct root cause analysis and produce technical reports.
- Maintain working relationships with clients, delivery teams and third-party stakeholders.
- Manage subcontractor performance and review RAMS, maintenance records and compliance documents.
- Identify remedial works and develop client-value options and quotations.
- Recognize opportunities for business growth and improve safety, compliance and service delivery.
What the employer is looking for
- Technical operations experience managing steam pressure, HVAC, local exhaust ventilation and low voltage systems.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical and controls disciplines.
- Leadership, communication, problem-solving and commercial awareness.
- Proficiency in CAFM systems, Microsoft Office and mobile work platforms.
- IOSH Managing Safely and a recognized apprenticeship or degree with a mechanical engineering bias.
- Laboratory or healthcare environment experience is advantageous.
