Role summary

Maintenance and repairs

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect tools, equipment, kitchen equipment, and mechanical-room equipment.
• Repair plumbing, electrical components, equipment, guest-room items, drywall, wood trim, painted surfaces, and other listed fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs and air-conditioning filters, program televisions, and perform housekeeping and engineering inventory duties.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, operate building and equipment shut-offs, and report shift activities and problems.
• Repair landscaping and sprinklers; enter air-handler schedules and adjust temperatures using basic computer skills.

Safety and guest service

• Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance and follow safety and security procedures; report hazards, accidents, injuries, and maintenance problems.
• Complete safety training and certifications and store flammable materials properly.
• Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Protect company assets and confidential information, maintain a professional appearance, and perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Qualifications

• A driver's license is required.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Some general maintenance and interior or exterior surface preparation and painting experience is preferred.
• Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
• The role involves moving objects up to 50 pounds without assistance; heavier tasks require assistance, along with stairs, ramps, ladders, and reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Basic computer use is needed to enter and locate work-related information.

Schedule and location

• The schedule is full time.
