Engineer I role in Engineering & Facilities at The St. Regis Residence in Doha, Qatar.

Maintenance and repairs
- Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with guests.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical-room equipment; inspect equipment and operate utility shut-offs.
- Maintain inventory, request supplies, and communicate activities and issues across shifts.
- Perform basic maintenance across HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, kitchen, and building systems.
- Prepare and paint surfaces; complete minor drywall and wood trim repairs; replace bulbs and air-conditioning filters; clean work areas.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items; program televisions and handle engineering inventory.
- Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance; repair interior and exterior landscaping and irrigation systems.
- Enter air-handler schedules and temperature changes using basic computer skills.
Qualifications
- A driver’s license is required.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Some general maintenance and surface preparation and painting experience is preferred; hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
- No supervisory experience is required.
Safety and guest service
- Follow safety and security policies, report maintenance problems and hazards, complete safety training, and store flammable materials properly.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential information and company property.
- Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and meet quality standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally and work positively with other employees.
Physical duties
Move and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance; heavier tasks require assistance.
Use stairs, service ramps, or ladders and perform reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
