Full-time, non-management engineering and facilities role at a hotel in Dubai.

Maintenance and repairs
- Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspect, clean, and lubricate tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Maintain maintenance stock and order required parts and supplies.
- Prepare and paint surfaces; make minor drywall and woodwork repairs; replace bulbs and air-conditioner filters; clean repaired areas.
- Troubleshoot and make basic repairs to plumbing, electrical components, guest-room items, appliances, and internet devices.
- Program televisions, adjust air-handling schedules and temperatures, and perform engineering inventory tasks.
- Repair indoor and outdoor landscaping and outdoor irrigation sprinklers.
- Use lockout/tagout before maintenance work and report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries.
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license is required.
- General maintenance experience, including surface preparation and painting, is recommended.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and professional or technical experience are recommended.
- Hotel maintenance or engineering experience is an advantage.
Relevant maintenance knowledge
- Basic or learnable knowledge areas include HVAC and refrigeration, electrical and mechanical systems, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic controls, carpentry and finishing, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building systems.
- Basic computer skills are noted, including entering air-handling schedules and changing temperatures.

The role includes lifting and carrying objects, using stairs and ladders, and bending and reaching.
