Respond to guest repair requests and maintain hotel equipment, guestroom items, and building systems.

Maintenance and repair duties
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspect, clean, and lubricate tools, equipment, and machines.
- Handle surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood-trim repairs, and replacement of bulbs and air-conditioning filters.
- Troubleshoot and make basic repairs to plumbing, electrical components, guestroom items, and other equipment.
- Operate building utility shut-offs; use Lockout/Tagout; maintain inventory and order parts and supplies.
- Program televisions; enter air-handler schedules and adjust temperatures; repair landscaping and sprinklers.
- Communicate shift updates, follow safety procedures, report hazards, and provide courteous guest service.
Required qualification
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Recommended qualifications and physical work
- A secondary school diploma or equivalent and professional or technical experience are recommended.
- General maintenance and interior or exterior surface preparation and painting experience are recommended; hotel maintenance or engineering experience is an asset.
- The work involves moving objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, climbing stairs, ramps, or ladders, and reaching, bending, and stooping.
