Engineer I provides maintenance and repair services at The St. Regis Residence in Doha.
The role is full time and is not remote.
Maintenance and repairs
- Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues.
- Maintain and inspect tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical-room equipment, and building systems.
- Perform repairs involving HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, carpentry, painting, drywall, and guestroom equipment.
- Maintain landscaping and sprinkler systems; program televisions and adjust air-handler schedules and temperatures.
- Manage maintenance inventory, requisition supplies, and hand off daily issues to other shifts.
Safety and guest service
- Use Lockout/Tagout and follow company safety and security policies; report hazards, accidents, and injuries.
- Provide courteous guest service, communicate professionally, maintain quality standards, and work cooperatively.
- Complete physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance and moving on stairs, ramps, or ladders.
Required qualification
- A driver’s license is required.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Some general maintenance and painting or surface-preparation experience is preferred.
- Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
