Full-time, non-management Engineer I role in hotel engineering and facilities.
Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues.
Maintenance Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical-room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Inspect tools and equipment, maintain inventory, and requisition supplies and parts.
- Perform basic repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, refrigeration, carpentry, kitchen, and building systems.
- Prepare and paint surfaces; make minor drywall and wood trim repairs; replace light bulbs and A/C filters; clean completed work areas.
- Troubleshoot equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items; program TVs and handle engineering inventory tasks.
- Use Lockout/Tagout procedures and repair interior, exterior, landscaping, and sprinkler systems.
- Input air-handler schedules and make temperature changes using a computer.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts.
Required Qualifications
- A driver’s license is required.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- The role requires handling objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier items with assistance, as well as climbing stairs, ramps, or ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting is preferred.
- Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
Workplace
- Position is not remote and is located at The St. Regis Residence, Marsa Arabia Island, Doha, Qatar.
