Engineer - Facilities Management - Hard Services

Role scope

Financial and service performance

• Prepare monthly operational reports and identify continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage project service delivery against contractual SLAs and KPIs, and ensure services match agreed scope and resources.
• Add value to client operations by proposing cost reductions or initiatives aligned with business goals.

Customer and contract management

• Coordinate staff induction and ongoing training with supervisors and team leaders, and keep training records in personnel files.
• Monitor service-level agreements using client evaluations, resolve or escalate issues, and maintain client relationships through regular meetings.
• Coordinate procurement with the procurement team and manage specialist service contractors and vendors.
• Report contract staff sickness, absence, and holidays in accordance with company policies.
• Visit sites to assess staff performance and address client concerns about service quality.

Process and operations

• Manage contract delivery according to industry practices, international facilities management standards, and local statutory guidelines.
• Order project equipment and machinery and arrange and control local purchase orders.
• Monitor resource utilization and prepare monthly account reviews, staff meetings, and daily or weekly site-team briefings.
• Coordinate timely invoice raising with central administration and finance teams.

Innovation

• Execute contract energy-management projects by identifying opportunities and seeking guidance from the Energy Manager.
• Introduce relevant technologies and develop case studies and business proposals, including return-on-investment models.

Selection criteria

• Bachelor of Engineering or Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
• A valid driving license is mandatory.
• Three to five years of experience delivering structured contracts with standard SLAs and KPIs.
• Knowledge of CAFM systems and effective implementation of full modules.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and report writing; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle ad hoc and fit-out projects.
• IOSH, NEBOSH, or CFM certification is preferred.
