Engineer - Facilities Management - Hard Services

Role scope

Financial and service delivery

• Prepare monthly operational reports and identify process improvements or cost savings.
• Manage project service performance and ensure contractual SLAs and KPIs are met.
• Deliver services within agreed contract scope and resource plans, avoiding penalties and deductions.

Client and team coordination

• Coordinate staff induction and ongoing training with supervisors and team leaders, and maintain training records.
• Monitor client service levels, resolve or escalate issues, and maintain regular client relationships and meetings.
• Coordinate procurement with the procurement team and follow procurement policies.
• Manage specialist contractors and vendors within the contract scope.
• Report staff sickness, absence, and holidays in line with company policies.
• Visit sites to assess staff performance and resolve client concerns about service quality.

Process and innovation

• Manage contract delivery according to industry practices, FM standards, and local statutory requirements.
• Order project equipment and machinery; arrange and control local purchase orders.
• Monitor resource utilization and ensure suitable staffing for contracted services.
• Prepare monthly staff meetings and daily or weekly site-team briefings; coordinate timely invoicing with administration and finance teams.
• Execute energy-management projects and identify improvement opportunities with guidance from the Energy Manager.
• Support technology adoption and develop case studies and business proposals with ROI models.

Selection criteria

• Bachelor of Engineering or Science in mechanical, electrical, electronics, or mechatronics engineering, or equivalent.
• Valid driving licence is mandatory.
• 3–5 years of structured-contract service delivery experience with applicable SLAs or KPIs.
• Knowledge of CAFM systems and effective implementation of their full modules.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle ad-hoc and fit-out projects.
• IOSH, NEBOSH, or CFM certification is preferred.
