Electrical Project Engineer

What you will do
- Plan and supervise site electrical works, including low-voltage distribution, power, lighting, earthing, and low-current systems.
- Review drawings and specifications; prepare or check shop drawings, material submittals, and work methods.
- Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, other MEP trades, and subcontractors.
- Handle submissions, inspections, and approvals with utility and civil defence authorities.
- Monitor schedule progress; prepare regular reports, short-term work plans, and manpower forecasts.
- Raise material requests and confirm quantities and specifications with purchasing.
- Prepare variation support documents, record completed work, and assist with monthly progress invoicing.
- Lead testing and commissioning, snag closure, as-built drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals.
- Ensure quality and safety procedures, inspection requests, and non-conformance closeout are completed.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in electrical contracting; local project experience is strongly preferred.
- Practical experience obtaining authority approvals and passing inspections.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD; MS Project or Primavera P6 experience is a plus.
- Understanding of IEC/BS standards and local regulations.
- Society of Engineers registration and a valid UAE driving licence are advantages.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a bonus.
Pay
- AED 2,300 to AED 11,000 per month.
