Overview

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

• Complies with, and ensures subordinates adhere to EHS regulations & guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Ensures technicians are aware of all safety policies, and properly trained in a safe work practices and procedures.
• Ensures Job Safety Procedure (JSP) standards are in place and maintains safe performance of all work.
• Takes appropriate actions to ensure the workplace is clean and tidy and conforms to company standards.
• Contributes to continuous safety improvement by reporting near misses and incidents, as well as participating in site inspection and investigations and correcting site inspection observations.

Engineering & Maintenance Support

• Alignment, implementation, and technical support to meeting the operational reliability level specified for Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Facility.
• Drives the implementation of site-wide maintenance strategy with coordination of Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Facility maintenance department and applying "Lessons Learned".
• Supervises and allocates manpower for various maintenance jobs to meet the daily maintenance objectives, in accord with work instructions.
• Ensure actual tools/ equipment and man-hours are in accordance to plan and that routine job planning is updated as required.
• Ensures the conditions and procedures specified in the work permit are adhered to and implemented during the execution of work.
• Organizes materials and equipment needed to execute the maintenance jobs in order 'to meet maintenance objectives.
• Ensures that staff are punctual at the workplace and carry out their jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Track and control overtime worked by staff.
• Carts out suitable technicians to cover emergency work.
• Assigns suitable technicians to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems or participates himself in order to get the equipment back in running condition.
• Prepared all the times to meet urgent or contingent requirements of the plant e.g. plant turnaround or shutdown.
• Manages / assists the maintenance team in case of emergency repairs / critical inspections and ensures documentation of work completed.
• Provides technical and non-technical assistance to shift maintenance leads and engineers / planners working under his organization as assigned.
• Support in Reliability methodologies e.g. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Reliability Based Inspection (RBI), Reliability Instrument Safety (RIS), assigning equipment criticality rankings, performing failure analysis, and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Participates or delegates personnel for site inspections and safety, quality, or production investigations.
• Ensues engineering data for analysis / evaluation is preserved collected and managed per site procedures.
• Ensures that chronic Failure Elimination, bad actor, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) studies are conducted by assigned engineers in a proper and timely manner, plans drive the implementation of corrective tasks to eliminate failures from recurring.
• Ensures technical proposals for outsourced maintenance services with clear scope of work for routine or down day / shutdown maintenance activities are developed, reviewed, and approved.
• Provides coordination and proper linkage with centralized maintenance department to manage out-sourced services externally needed by operation and maintenance.
• Supports obtaining qualified contactors to execute their required jobs safely, timely in quality manner, in accordance with site and industry standards.
• Manages maintenance crew in the cold commissioning, hot commissioning and start up activities.
• Works with area maintenance planner to walk the job to develop complete job packages, this includes job plan (work instruction and required safety documentation), Kit content, required equipment/special tools, required labor, required perm its and drawings.
• Assists Reliability Engineers in assigning equipment criticality rankings, failure analysis and mitigation strategies.
• Ensures the maintenance requirements of maintainable equipment in his area have been evaluated and addressed, including needed spare parts ordered and stocked.
• Assists in initiating, proposing, and reviewing capex projects to improve Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Facility / equipment availability and follows / supervises approved projects implementation in his assigned area.
• Strives in implementing 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Manufacturing (LM) and Reliability Excellence (REX) in his designated area.
• Support in consolidation of the maintenance budget and forecast process in his area.

HR, Leadership, Training & Coaching

• Provides the lead role in the implementation of the maintenance work processes in Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Facility.
• Identifies training requirements for technicians and organize on-the-job training programs to ensure improvement in their quality of work.
• Coordinates the training and mentorship of maintenance personnel at Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Facility, ensuring their knowledge and implementation of maintenance best practices.
• Assists with the recruitment of experienced and competent maintenance engineers, planners and technicians for the Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Facility.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships within areas of responsibility, and between superiors and subordinates personnel.

Reports Generation

• Leads and supervises the development, establishment and implementation of maintenance work control / performance monitoring procedures and key performance indicators (KPls).
• Ensures maintenance schedules are accurately implemented and maintenance reports / data are correctly entered in the ERP Asset Management.
• Ensures that technical maintenance and engineering reports are generated and communicated to concerned staff.
