Electrical BIM Modeler

Role summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare electrical coordination drawings, shop drawings, layouts, sections, and detailed drawings.
• Model lighting, power distribution, cable trays, conduits, and other electrical services.
• Coordinate electrical services with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines.
• Perform BIM coordination, identify clashes, and support clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or other coordination tools.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements for accuracy.
• Update models and drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and coordination comments.
• Coordinate with BIM Coordinators, engineers, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Meet project standards, specifications, and LOD requirements; maintain revisions, model quality, and documentation.
• Support coordination meetings and incorporate feedback.

Qualifications and requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant Electrical BIM Modeler experience in building construction or MEP projects.
• Hands-on electrical BIM modeling experience and strong Autodesk Revit skills.
• Practical experience preparing electrical coordination drawings.
• Good knowledge of electrical layouts, shop drawings, and detailed construction drawings.
• Understanding of electrical systems and MEP coordination requirements.
• Experience coordinating with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural teams.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection; Navisworks familiarity is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Must currently reside in Qatar and be available to join immediately.
