Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses and identify mitigation measures.
- Carry out site inspections and EHS audits; conduct training and toolbox talks for site personnel and contractors.
- Monitor HSE compliance and promote a safety-first culture.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement project-site emergency response plans.
- Prepare EHS performance reports for the Project Manager and EHS Manager.
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies on EHS matters.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of EHS experience; renewable energy or construction experience is preferred.
- NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
- Ground-mounted Solar PV experience, particularly in the Middle East, is preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
