Ensure environmental, health and safety compliance at the project site, implement EHS programs, conduct inspections and promote a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, national and international EHS regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses and identify mitigation measures.
- Carry out regular site inspections and EHS audits.
- Conduct EHS training and toolbox talks for site personnel and contractors.
- Monitor HSE compliance and promote a safety-first culture.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for the project site.
- Prepare regular EHS performance reports for the Project Manager and EHS Manager.
- Coordinate with contractors, clients and regulatory bodies on EHS matters.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of EHS experience; renewable energy or construction experience is preferred.
- NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
- Ground-mounted Solar PV experience, particularly in the Middle East, is preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
