Position purpose
Lead a robust Quality Management Framework across the New Product Development lifecycle.
Key objectives and responsibilities
- Integrate Quality-by-Design principles into product development.
- Strengthen Stage-Gate governance and quality gate reviews; drive zero-defect product launches.
- Establish validation and reliability engineering practices.
- Lead APQP deployment, design quality, risk assessment, quality planning, prototype and pilot build quality, supplier quality, manufacturing readiness, launch quality, customer quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, or Mechatronics.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Six Sigma Black Belt, CQE, or CRE preferred.
- 15–20 years in Quality and Product Development, including at least 7 years in NPD Quality leadership.
Technical competencies
- APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, DOE, QFD, FTA, DFSS, and GD&T.
- Reliability Engineering and Product Validation.
Leadership competencies and KPIs
Leadership competencies include strategic thinking, quality leadership, stakeholder management, customer orientation, team development, and business acumen.
KPIs include FPY, DPMO, customer complaints, warranty claims, COPQ, MTBF, and validation pass rate.
