Drawing and Estimation Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and engineering drawings.
- Prepare BOQs and material take-offs.
- Calculate material, labor, and other project quantities and requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Review drawings and specifications for discrepancies or missing information.
Coordination and Records
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, site supervisors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Revise drawings for site conditions, client requirements, and design changes.
- Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Maintain records of drawings, estimates, BOQs, and revisions.
- Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and existing conditions.
- Assist the project team with cost control and material procurement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of quantity take-off and estimation.
- Ability to read engineering and construction drawings.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail, deadline management, communication, and coordination skills.
- Experience as a Draughtsman, Estimator, or Quantity Surveyor is preferred.
- Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other CAD software is advantageous.
- Two to five years of relevant experience may be expected, depending on company requirements.
Compensation
- The description states pay of AED 2,000 to AED 2,500 per hour.
