Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify infrastructure and civil drawings using AutoCAD and relevant drafting software.
• Produce drawings for roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, pavements, kerbs, footpaths, and external infrastructure.
• Develop plans, sections, elevations, layouts, and construction/shop drawings from engineering designs and specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, surveying, consultant, and site teams; incorporate instructions, comments, site conditions, and revisions.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site execution and approved changes.
• Follow project specifications, standards, and authority requirements; assist with drawing-related technical issues.
• Maintain drawing, revision, submission, approval, and document-control records; ensure current approved drawings are used on site.
• Coordinate disciplines to address drawing clashes and discrepancies; meet timelines and maintain drawing accuracy.
• Support inspections, meetings, technical discussions, submissions, revisions, and clarifications with consultants and contractors.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience as an Infrastructure or Civil Draftsman in construction.
• Mandatory experience in infrastructure and civil construction projects.
• Strong experience with roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and external works drawings.
• AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory; Civil 3D knowledge is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of civil and infrastructure drawings, construction details, and technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, survey data, and site requirements.
• UAE/GCC experience and knowledge of local construction standards and practices are preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, surveyors, and site teams; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
