District Supervisor (Eastern GTA & Durham Region)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Achieve budgeted sales targets for each store.
• Attract and retain talent, monitor performance, motivate teams, and source candidates.
• Conduct orientations and training and coach store management on sales and daily task execution.
• Assess talent and develop succession plans.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, integrity requirements, and loss-prevention policies.
• Coordinate communication with head-office departments and oversee merchandising and marketing displays.
• Coordinate new store openings and closures and resolve issues affecting service, efficiency, and productivity.
• Ensure store facilities meet safety and environmental requirements; perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of supervisory experience, preferably in retail.
• Experience leading a district of at least eight stores, coaching Store Managers, and delivering business objectives.
• Post-secondary degree or certification in business administration or a related field.
• Experience in workforce training and development, relationship building, talent management, merchandising, and store operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's licence and regular district travel, including overnight travel as needed.

Physical and availability requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods, climb a ladder, and move, lift, and handle merchandise boxes and fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Availability for days and potentially evenings and weekends.
