Electrical Design Engineer responsible for electrical system design, analysis, and coordination in construction and renovation projects.
Works with MEP teams, architects, and contractors to develop efficient, cost-effective solutions and reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer.

Electrical Design Engineer responsible for electrical system design, analysis, and coordination in construction and renovation projects.
Works with MEP teams, architects, and contractors to develop efficient, cost-effective solutions and reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer.
Design and coordination
- Develop Single Line Diagrams, load schedules, lighting layouts, power distribution, and ELV designs.
- Perform short-circuit and voltage-drop calculations and cable sizing.
- Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical and structural teams; manage assigned drafting teams.
- Prepare technical reports, BOQs, and material specifications for review and approval.
- Conduct design reviews and clash detection; liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies and support energy-efficiency and sustainability objectives.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of electrical design engineering experience; MEP or hotel construction experience is preferred.
Technical skills and standards
- Electrical system design includes power distribution, lighting, ELV, and grounding systems.
- Experience with load calculations, short-circuit studies, and Single Line Diagrams.
- Tools include AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, ETAP, and other electrical design software.
- Knowledge of IEC, NEC, BS, DEWA, ADDC, ADM, and ESTIDAMA requirements.
- Relevant work includes MEP coordination, lighting controls, BMS, access control, CCTV, fire alarms, telecom, BOQs, and specifications.
- ADDC and DEWA approval is preferred.
