Deputy COO

Overview

Key Responsibilitiesoperational Leadership

• Assist the COO in managing and overseeing the company's daily operations across multiple departments and business units.
• Ensure operational activities are aligned with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
• Monitor operational performance and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Support the development and execution of business strategies and operational plans.

Performance & Process Management

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure operational risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor department heads, managers, and operational teams.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
• Support workforce planning, resource allocation, and succession planning initiatives.
• Assist in developing leadership capabilities across the organization.

Financial & Commercial Oversight

• Support budget planning, cost control, and financial performance management.
• Monitor operational expenditures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Collaborate with Finance and Commercial teams to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Review business cases, operational investments, and resource requirements.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with clients, partners, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Represent the organization in meetings, negotiations, and business engagements when required.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all business functions.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Support corporate governance initiatives and risk management programs.
• Oversee operational audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action plans.

Requirementseducation

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, Management, or a related field.
• Master's Degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior management or executive leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale operations, multi-site businesses, or complex service environments.
• Experience driving organizational growth, transformation, and operational excellence initiatives.
