The Data Science Expert is expected to advance the bank’s data science capabilities and help realize value from available data.
Potential use cases include intelligent character recognition, computer vision, behavioral analysis, early-warning analysis, generative AI, NLP, LLMs, and hyper-personalization.
Key responsibilities
- Work with business executives and departments to provide advanced data science solutions for implementation.
- Design, test, and launch complex analytical models using data-mining techniques across structured and unstructured data.
- Develop big data capabilities and coordinate cross-functional analytics initiatives.
- Work on data mining and data collection procedures; ensure data quality and integrity.
- Interpret data problems; conceive, plan, and prioritize data projects.
- Build analytic systems, predictive models, and AI capabilities; test data-driven product performance.
- Visualize data, create reports, and present findings to stakeholders, including senior bank management.
- Experiment with new models and techniques.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- 7+ years of experience in data science roles.
- Banking or fintech experience is preferred.
- Certifications in Python, R, SQL, AI, or Machine Learning are nice to have.
- The role calls for technical knowledge, problem-solving, delivery focus, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking.
