Experienced Data / MI Business Analyst working with business stakeholders, technical teams, and data specialists.
Translate business and reporting needs into requirements and define KPIs, metrics, and specifications for MI and dashboard solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define MI, reporting, and analytical needs with stakeholders; review reports, dashboards, datasets, and processes.
- Use SQL and analytical techniques to investigate data quality issues, discrepancies, trends, and anomalies.
- Document metrics, business rules, calculation logic, assumptions, data requirements, and data availability gaps.
- Translate needs into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and reporting specifications.
- Collaborate with data and MI specialists to validate solutions and produce mappings, assessments, findings, and recommendations.
Essential requirements
- Active SC Clearance is mandatory.
- Relevant experience as a Technical, Data, or MI Business Analyst, and experience with data, MI, reporting, or analytics teams.
- Strong SQL and experience investigating, analysing, and validating data, including complex datasets and discrepancies.
- Experience defining KPIs, metrics, business rules, and calculation logic; understanding of data structures, lineage, and quality.
- Agile delivery experience, including user stories and acceptance criteria; ability to translate business needs into technical and analytical requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Desirable experience
- Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or other enterprise data platforms.
- Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
- Enterprise data models, data governance, data quality frameworks, and large public-sector or complex enterprise environments.
Contract and salary information
