Supports central sterile services department operations and assists CSSD technicians with instrument processing and sterilization.
Instrument processing
- Collect, transport, and handle used medical instruments and equipment; clean and decontaminate reusable instruments according to approved procedures.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, damage, and function; prepare, assemble, and package instruments and supplies for sterilization.
- Assist with sterilization processes under appropriate supervision.
Sterility, safety, and records
- Store sterilized instruments and supplies in designated areas and separate clean, contaminated, and sterile items to prevent cross-contamination.
- Follow infection-control policies, including hand hygiene and PPE use; handle and dispose of contaminated waste according to facility procedures.
- Maintain processing and sterilization records; report damaged instruments, equipment malfunctions, and related concerns to the supervisor.
Work area
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the CSSD area and support routine cleaning and maintenance of work areas and equipment.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Experience and location
- At least one year of experience in the UAE is required.
- The role is based in Al-Ayn and requires in-person work.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 3,500 per month.
