Cooking and kitchen duties
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, storing, washing, peeling, measuring, weighing, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food, including cold food, according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food for doneness and monitor quality.
- Set up and clean work areas; portion and plate food in suitable containers.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment; monitor food and equipment temperatures.
Safety, teamwork, and physical duties
- Follow company safety and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and communicate professionally.
- Build positive work relationships, support team goals, respond appropriately to employee concerns, and uphold quality expectations.
- Stand, sit, or walk throughout shifts; reach, bend, twist, kneel, and move, lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as directed by a supervisor.
Preferred qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified as required; no license or certification is listed.
