The position is full time, non-management, and not remote.
Food preparation and kitchen work
- Prepare special meals and substitute dishes; prepare and cook food to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roasting equipment temperatures; retrieve frozen food and thaw it in the refrigerator.
- Prepare cold foods and ensure portions, presentation, and garnishes are appropriate.
- Maintain food logs and monitor prepared food quality and quantities.
- Tell the chef about excess food for daily specials and inform food-and-beverage staff about removed items and menu specials.
- Indicate when extra help is needed during busy periods.
Teamwork, service, and safety
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, motivation, and coaching employees; act as a role model.
- Follow safety policies, report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; meet quality standards.
- Anticipate and address guest service needs, communicate courteously, and maintain constructive relationships with colleagues.
Recommended qualifications
- A diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational school is recommended.
- At least three years of related work experience is recommended.
- No supervisory experience is stated as needed; no license or certification is listed.
Physical demands
- The work involves standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods and reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and crouching.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11.4 kg) without assistance.
