The Contracts Lead undertakes hands-on commercial and contracting activities across pre-award and post-award contract management.
The role supports a high-visibility project with significant capital expenditure and schedule execution pressures.
Responsibilities
- Manage contracts related to damage assessment, demolition, engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Support actions within the Value Protection plan and manage contractual correspondence and changes under approved processes.
- Identify contractual risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to commercial and contract performance reports for project leadership.
- Support tender processes with Supply and Performance & Delivery teams under company governance.
- Work with the Performance & Delivery Claims team to manage claims and disputes.
- Coordinate with project management, functional managers, legal, and risk management teams on contract issues and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate contract evaluations and end-of-contract close-outs in accordance with company procedures.
- Manage contractors, including contractual correspondence, change orders, variations, and timely contractual advice.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience managing contractors, including contractual correspondence, change orders, variations, and contractual advice.
- Ability to work in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule pressures.
- Accuracy, initiative, and the ability to multitask are essential.
- Ability to support safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance expectations in a dynamic project team.
