Job purpose
Lead construction and execution of HV/EHV substation projects in compliance with SEC standards, approved drawings, project specifications, HSE standards, and schedules.
Construction and installation
- Lead and manage electrical construction activities for HV/EHV substations.
- Manage installation of transformers, GIS/AIS, switchgear, circuit breakers, CT/PT, protection and control, SCADA, AC/DC systems, and earthing.
- Plan and monitor construction activities, schedules, manpower, materials, and resources.
Coordination and project controls
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, T&C, and subcontractor teams.
- Review method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
- Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement recovery actions.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure productivity and resource availability.
Testing, quality, and handover
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, energization, and project handover.
- Coordinate with SEC/client representatives and consultants on approvals, inspections, and technical matters.
- Monitor quality, NCRs, and punch points and ensure timely closure.
- Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to project management.
Standards and safety
- Ensure work complies with SEC standards, approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable IEC standards.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, PTW, and HSE requirements.
