Leads planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of civil construction activities for 132kV, 220kV, 400kV, and distribution substations.
Reports to the Project Manager or Project Director and coordinates civil works across the project lifecycle.
Construction delivery
- Oversees control and GIS buildings, transformer and reactor foundations, equipment plinths, cable trenches, duct banks, oil containment bunds, roads, drainage, earthing facilities, gantry foundations, and utility corridors.
- Develops construction methodologies, plans resources, monitors schedules and progress, mitigates risks, and controls costs.
- Reviews IFC and shop drawings, implements quality assurance, manages subcontractors, and resolves site issues.
- Coordinates multidisciplinary site teams and interfaces with clients, consultants, and utility authorities.
- Ensures inspections are completed, NCRs and punch points are closed, and project documentation, progress reports, and as-built records are maintained.
Role requirements
- Strong leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder management are needed to deliver substation projects.
- Civil works must comply with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, quality standards, and HSE regulations.
