Lead testing and commissioning for utility-scale hybrid solar PV and BESS plants and associated substations rated 220 kV or above.
Ensure safe, reliable, timely energization in line with project specifications, client standards, and statutory regulations.
Commissioning delivery
- Lead the T&C team and develop commissioning strategies, schedules, and methodologies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align work with project milestones.
- Plan, supervise, and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, and energization for transmission lines and associated equipment.
- Oversee testing of protection and control systems, substations where interfaced, and line equipment under approved procedures.
- Troubleshoot commissioning issues and provide solutions.
- Maintain test reports, checklists, and as-built drawings; conduct safety and quality inspections and audits.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, OEMs, and authorities; represent the company at inspections, acceptance tests, and final approvals.
- Build, train, and mentor the team and foster safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 15+ years of testing and commissioning experience in solar or renewable energy projects.
- Proficiency testing electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and SCADA systems.
- Expertise in renewable energy regulations, grid connectivity protocols, and power system protection.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, including DC/AC wiring, string inverters, and central inverters.
- Proven track record managing testing and commissioning teams.
