- Assist in the preparation and presentation of sushi, sashimi, ramen, and other Japanese dishes
- Prepare ingredients, including vegetables, seafood, meats, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef or Sous Chef
- Support the kitchen team during service to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and quality standards
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory using FIFO procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 4 years of experience as a Commis in a Japanese restaurant
- Hands on experience in sushi and ramen preparation
- Knowledge of Japanese ingredients, cooking techniques, and food presentation
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Job Summary
