Assist the kitchen team with preparing and producing pastries, cakes, desserts, and bakery items.
Maintain standards for quality, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and finish pastries, cakes, cookies, tarts, desserts, fillings, creams, toppings, and doughs.
- Follow recipes and preparation instructions; measure ingredients and prepare mise en place.
- Store, label, and rotate products; monitor stock and report shortages or wastage.
- Clean and organize workstations, utensils, ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures; minimize waste and follow portion controls.
- Support the pastry team during busy periods and perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert production.
- Familiarity with ovens, mixers, weighing scales, and other kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and food storage practices.
- Basic English communication skills; willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work in a team.
- Must be available to join immediately.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- A certificate or diploma in Pastry, Bakery, Culinary Arts, or a related field is an advantage.
- Two years of relevant pastry kitchen, bakery, café, hotel, or restaurant experience is preferred.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Working conditions
- Flexible shifts may include weekends and public holidays.
- The role involves extended standing in a fast-paced production environment.
Workplace
- Work in person in a professional pastry kitchen or bakery environment.
Pay
- Pay is QAR 3,500–4,500 per month.
