A customer-focused Barista is sought to prepare and serve high-quality beverages, provide excellent service, maintain cleanliness, and ensure consistent beverage quality.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare espresso drinks, teas, iced coffees, smoothies, and other beverages to company recipes and standards.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment; apply knowledge of beans, brewing, ingredients, and presentation.
- Take orders, answer menu questions, recommend beverages and pastries, and handle customer requests and feedback professionally.
- Coordinate with cashiers and kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and timely.
- Clean and maintain the coffee station, equipment, counters, and service areas.
- Monitor supplies, report shortages, replenish stock, and conduct inventory checks.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, storage, and quality-control procedures; assist with opening and closing and busy-period support.
Qualifications and requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related qualifications are an advantage.
- Two years of barista experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain coffee machines and related equipment; espresso, milk-steaming, coffee-brewing, and basic latte-art knowledge is an advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills, positive attitude, attention to detail, teamwork, personal hygiene, and professional appearance.
- Ability to work flexible rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays; availability to join immediately is required.
- English fluency is required; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
Working conditions
- Work in a café, coffee shop, or pastry shop environment.
- The role requires standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Work location is in person.
Pay
- Pay is QAR 3,000–3,500 per month.
