Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all commercial operations, including sales, contracts, and pricing.
- Develop business strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets.
- Manage client relationships and key project negotiations.
- Monitor budgets, margins, and commercial performance.
- Lead and support sales and coordination teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and minimize commercial risks.

Pricing & Contracts
- Manage pricing strategies, quotations, and contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all commercial agreements are compliant with company policies and profitability standards.
- Review and approve major tenders and project proposals.

Financial & Budget Control
- Monitor project profitability, margins, and overall commercial performance.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and financial reports for management review.
- Control costs and ensure efficient allocation of company resources.

Client & Supplier Relations
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and suppliers.
- Resolve commercial disputes and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
- ·
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to strategic decisions regarding market positioning, pricing models, and product mix.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to guide management decisions.
- ·
Team Leadership
- Lead and support the sales, estimation, and coordination teams to achieve commercial goals.
- Provide training and mentorship to enhance team performance and professional growth.
- ·
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company policies, legal standards, and contractual obligations.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks in contracts and operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in managing commercial aspects of large construction projects, often 6 to 9+ years, within a contractor environment.
- **Contract Knowledge:**
- Strong familiarity with industry contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC).
- **Negotiation & Communication:**
- Expert negotiation skills to maintain positive, profitable relationships with both clients and suppliers.
- Commercial Manager in the construction sector with dual responsibility for client and supplier management serves as the financial and contractual guardian of projects.
