Role overview

What you’ll do

• Develop category strategies and use market, stakeholder, and organizational information to set measurable objectives.
• Apply total cost of ownership analysis, should-cost modelling, scenario planning, and value chain mapping.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, budgets, and regulatory requirements; manage procurement projects.
• Balance business demand, optimize resources, and establish preferred suppliers.
• Lead source-to-contract work, including supplier identification, selection, and negotiation.
• Build supplier and stakeholder relationships, align specifications with organizational value, and improve supplier performance.
• Drive cost savings and efficiency improvements and support team talent development plans.

Required experience and skills

• Expertise in developing and implementing category strategies, supplier relationship management, and negotiation.
• Proven project management and process-improvement ability; experience using procurement tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• 7–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in category and/or supplier management.
• Experience with project management and procurement tools.

Education and other qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• CIPS or equivalent qualification highly desirable.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English required; additional languages advantageous.
• Experience with category strategy, total cost analysis, ecosystem mapping, compliance, risk mitigation, supplier lifecycle management, supplier performance, budgets, and procurement KPIs.
• Ability to influence decisions, manage cross-functional teams, and build long-term relationships.

Compensation information

• Provided salary field is AED 800 per month; compensation cadence is monthly.
