Job Title: Business Development Manager – (Middle East & Africa)
Role Overview
We are looking for a results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth across Africa and the Middle East.
The candidate should have strong experience in telecom services (active and passive infrastructure), with a proven track record in RFP/RFQ management and closing large deals with OEMs, telecom operators, and TowerCos.
This role demands extensive travelling, maintaining relationships with senior management, and a proactive approach to hunting new business, expanding market presence, and consistently delivering on ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a comprehensive business development plan that is aligned with the company's growth plan. Engage with the Operators & OEMs senior management team to have more visibility on their growth plan and align our growth plan accordingly.
- Need to explore underpenetrated new market /region and new areas like solar, mini grids, data centres, material supply, satellite, Network security, where there is growth potential for these products.
- Lead end-to-end RFP/RFQ/RFI lifecycle management, including managing large, complex, multi-country bids and strategic pursuits
- Coordination with various in-house teams like Operations, Technical, and Country heads. Gather OEM & Operator pain points from internal teams in countries we operate in, and how we can offer better solutions.
- Leverage market intelligence, competitor insights, and regulatory analysis to drive go-to-market strategies and targeted account plans across MEA markets
- Identify, develop, and close opportunities across a wide range of
- telecom service offerings
- (Managed Services, Network Rollout, Deployment, O&M, Fiber Deployment, Tower Installation, Infrastructure Management).
- Define and drive client satisfaction initiatives to improve service delivery and retention
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering
- . (Additionally, MBA is preferred)
- **10+ years of experience**
- in business development and services sales in the
- telecom sector
- Experience in selling telecom services
- to
OEMs, Operators, and TowerCos
- in Africa & the Middle East
- **Strong network**
- and established relationships within the telecom ecosystem in
Africa
- Proven experience in
- RFP/RFQ bid management
- and large deal closures
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing high-value deals
- Strong understanding of telecom technologies, services, and infrastructure lifecycle
- Strong networking skills
- Good presentation & negotiations skills
- Excellent command over Excel & PowerPoint
