Full-time bookkeeping position based in the employer's Dubai office.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage day-to-day accounts receivable and payable.
- Code, post, and reconcile bank accounts, cash, and tax-related transactions.
- Handle UAE VAT matters and support year-end closing.
- Reconcile accounts, review balances, and clarify open items.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual closes under local GAAP/IFRS.
- Prepare reports and key figures, and perform budget controls.
- Support accounting-process optimization, digitization, and automation.
- Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, and tax advisers.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
Candidate profile
- Completed commercial training or a business administration degree.
- Several years of bookkeeping experience; three or more years is ideal.
- Renewable energy experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as DATEV, SAP, Oracle, Lexware, or equivalent, and ERP systems.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
- Good knowledge of accounts receivable/payable, payment transactions, and account reconciliation.
- Knowledge of UAE tax law and VAT; transfer-pricing knowledge is advantageous.
- Confident with IFRS/GAAP standards.
- Good written and spoken German and good English.
- Able to work in Dubai and adapt to local work culture.
- Independent, structured, reliable, detail-oriented, and organized.
