Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical building services using Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Prepare coordinated layouts and drawings for lighting, power distribution, containment, earthing, and other building electrical systems.
• Produce plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate electrical models with HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, architectural, and structural disciplines.
• Conduct clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks or similar tools and resolve clashes with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure models and deliverables comply with project specifications, BIM Execution Plans, and applicable standards.
• Support coordinated models, shop drawings, and as-built documentation; review accuracy, completeness, and design intent.
• Coordinate with engineers, BIM coordinators, and project teams to meet project milestones and schedules.
• Support model audits, quality checks, BIM standards and workflows, and technical issue resolution; guide junior team members when required.

Required qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant electrical BIM modelling experience for building projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD; working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
• Good understanding of lighting, small power, cable containment, and power distribution systems.
• Experience with commercial, residential, office, hospital, hotel, or other complex building projects.
• Understanding of multidisciplinary BIM coordination, construction documentation, international project standards, and BIM workflows.

Preferred qualifications

• Overseas building project experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 principles and BIM Execution Plans is preferred.
• Exposure to common data environments and collaborative BIM workflows is preferred.
• Dynamo or other BIM automation experience is an advantage.
