Develops and manages Building Information Models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects.
Works with engineers and project managers to integrate MEP systems into building designs and support performance and standards compliance.
Modeling and coordination
- Develop, update, and maintain coordinated MEP BIM models using Revit or similar software.
- Coordinate MEP systems with architecture, structure, interior design, and other disciplines.
- Detect and resolve clashes between MEP systems, structural elements, and architectural components.
- Generate coordinated shop drawings, schedules, and material take-offs.
- Support accurate, coordinated, and constructible MEP models and stakeholder representation.
Quality and technical support
- Assist with BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Check models against project requirements and specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and internal model coordination meetings.
- Ensure designs comply with the BIM Execution Plan, applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MEP BIM modeling tasks.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of mechanical-field and MEP BIM modeling experience.
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems design, installation, and coordination, and knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, collaborative ability, and strong written and verbal communication.
Preferred experience
- Experience in high-rise residential projects is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is AED 3,700 to AED 9,600 per month.
Work location
- Work is in person.
