Bartender role serving guests in a hotel outlet.
The role includes beverage service, bar upkeep, inventory, and support for outlet operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve drinks to guests and servers, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent service.
- Prepare mixers and cut fruit; replenish supplies, receive requisitions, check par levels, and keep the bar stocked.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar, tables, lounge, floors, glassware, and mirrors; set up and break down the bar.
- Conduct opening and closing spirits inventories and assist with other inventories as needed.
- Follow billing procedures, control costs, minimize wastage, and complete assigned side work.
- Upsell and identify additional revenue opportunities; support guest experience and resolve service logistics.
- Assist with training new team members and participate in progress-related activities.
- Maintain hygiene and uniform standards and use equipment safely.
Knowledge and abilities
- Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language or languages used in the workplace.
- Good verbal and written communication, including clear articulation and active listening.
- Basic knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations and advanced knowledge of alcoholic beverages.
- Basic computational ability.
- Able to follow health, safety, and fire regulations and maintain safe work practices.
